Boot Sizing and Heat-Moulding Tips

HEAT-MOULDING
All Bont boots are heat-mouldable. Body heat from skating around will probably give you a good fit. I even know some people that will sleep overnight in their skates. If it's not quite right, you can heat the boots with a hair dryer. When heating them, be careful to keep moving the dryer around so they won't get scorched, and be sure to heat the insides as well as the outsides of the boots. The area around the ankle is almost always the only area that needs to be heated. When the boots are too hot to wear barefoot, put them on with socks and stand up on them until they cool off. They can be heat-moulded more than once, so if you grow out of yours and sell them to somebody else, the boots can be re-moulded to that person's feet. NEVER PLACE THE BOOTS IN AN OVEN OR USE A HEAT GUN, AS THIS MAY CAUSE IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE! As Sara Bont says, "We make boots, not cakes!".

SIZING
Bont boots are sized in European sizes (Bonts come from Australia). For that reason our site shows both the US and European sizes. Just to let you know, Bonts run a little big.

HOW TO DETERMINE BOOT SIZE
Make a foot tracing by having the person being sized stand on a piece of paper while you hold a pencil perpendicular to the foot and trace around the outside of the foot. Be sure and make a tracing of both feet as one tends to be slightly bigger than the other. Measure the tracings from the longest toe to the heel and match the biggest foot measurement with the chart below. If you have any questions, always feel free to call or E-mail us at Weber's.
